Children's skin is delicate and sensitive and requires protection from direct sunlight. Fair skinned children are more susceptiable and the use of a hat and clothing which covers their skin is advisable.
At Knightswood Early Years the children spend time outdoors on a daily basis. During the summer months we ask that you provide your child with a high factor sun cream to aid the protection of their skin. Guidelines recommend the use of a SPF of at least 15+ and must be applied initially before your child arrives at nursery. With your consent staff will re-apply the cream throughout the day. In addition we ask that you also bring appropriate clothing- hats, light long sleeved tops, sunglasses (if needed).
